Adults at Southern Hills are on a never-ending process of everyday discipleship. We believe this process is best experienced in community with other believers, and so we encourage our adult members to involve themselves in the following:
BIBLE CLASSES
Each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m., Bible classes meet to help adults grow in their understanding of scripture and to be encouraged to put that knowledge into practice. Classes vary by style (lecture, discussion), content (textual, topical), and life stage.
LIFE GROUPS
Adult Life Groups help our church members experience connection and feel known. Groups have the choice of meeting at times that are best for them; some meet on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, while others get together at various times throughout the week. Some groups focus on study and discussion, and others are devoted to relational connectedness and support.
MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
Throughout the year, Southern Hills provides one-time and recurring opportunities to serve others. Serve in our local schools by becoming a Jackson Reader or a member of the Madison Fist Bump Crew. Join a team to help with Eggstravaganza, Trunk or Treat, or Breakfast With Santa. Or join with a local ministry or organization we have connections with, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Love & Care Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, CASA, Christian Service Center, Christian Homes & Family Services, and others.
