Opportunities to Grow and Serve
Wednesday Classes meet from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Southern Hills offers Wednesday night gatherings for all ages. Classes for children are organized by age and grade-level. Middle school and high school students have activities specifically prepared for them. For adults, we offer the following classes and ministry opportunities:
General Bible Study
This class for adults of mixed ages engages in study, reflection, and a bit of conversation centered upon Jarrod's most recent Sunday message.
Taught by Jarrod Robinson and Keith Clark in the Chapel
This class for adults of mixed ages is currently journeying through Ephesians together.
Facilitated and Taught by Steve Willis in Room 300
Trust In God and the Holy Spirit
This class for single mothers.
Facilitated and Taught by Janet Nix in Room 116
This class for women of all ages incorporates prayer and movement into a time of focused Yoga.

English as a Second Language
This class is for anyone wanting to learn English as a second language.

This class is for anyone wanting to learn about and prepare for becoming a citizen of the United States.

Each Wednesday evening a group leaves our building and goes to visit members who are homebound or hospitalized.

Each Wednesday evening a group meets to crochet gifts for people in our community.

180 House Support Group
Each Wednesday evening a group of our members meets at the 180 House here in Abilene to share life with recovering addicts, many of whom are Bar Church members.
