Opportunities to Grow and Serve

Wednesday Classes meet from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Southern Hills offers Wednesday night gatherings for all ages.  Classes for children are organized by age and grade-level. Middle school and high school students have activities specifically prepared for them. For adults, we offer the following classes and ministry opportunities:

 

General Bible Study

This class for adults of all ages will participate in an introduction to the New Testament.
Taught by Jarrod Robinson and Keith Clark in the Chapel

James

This class for adults of mixed ages is currently journeying through James together.
Facilitated and Taught by Steve Willis in Room 209

"Uninvited: Living Loved When You Feel Less Than, Left Out and Lonely"

This class for women is centered on connecting in community and growing spiritually while navigating the various ups and downs women face in life.
Facilitated and Taught by Janet Nix in Room 116

Yoga 4610

This class for women of all ages incorporates prayer and movement into a time of focused Yoga.

Crocheting

Each Wednesday evening a group meets to crochet gifts for people in our community.
Facilitated by Carlene Harrison in the Foyer

Alzheimer's/Dementia Caregivers

This support group meets the first Wednesday evening of each month.
Facilitated by Danelle Brand in Room 208

180 House Support Group

Each Wednesday evening a group of our members meets at the 180 House here in Abilene to share life with recovering addicts, many of whom are Bar Church members.
